So on Friday my wife called me at work and wanted to know if she should take our daughter into the ER because she had a high fever etc. etc. We decided to wait and see. Later that evening it became apparent that we needed to get into the ER. We left at 5 got there at 6 and got seen at 7. By 10 they said she would have to be admitted. Since my other two kids were at home with my parents I left for home and my wife stayed overnight with parrot. Here is where it gets scary for my oldest daughter. Last year my grandfather went into the hospital and we told my daughter he would be fine. He wasn't. Two weeks ago my grandmother-in-law went into the hospital with the same results. So now her little sister is suddenly admitted into the hospital and needless to say she was scared s-less. Here is where it gets scary for me. I showed up as soon as I could the next morning to find out that my daughter was in the ICU; when I get to the room two doctors are in talking to my wife and she is crying, hard. Everything was OK but she was so tired and just got overwhelmed. I just about passed out. After some tough nights, she is doing better and between Mackenzie and I we will keep you all updated on her progress. Her twin has an ear infection and a temp of 102.something but is doing well with my parents watching her.
Keep sending happy thoughts and prayers for our little parrot.
